In his school and college days he has sung all these music forms and won prizes in competitions.
His love for Hindustani Music found its place after he finished his college education. By then, he was already a Karnatic concert Artist performing in Radio and all. The urge for learning Hindustani Music arose at this time juncture. It is only after several years of Karnatic music performances, he developed the skill to perform Hindustani Music. He started singing Hindustani Music parallelly without going for Jugalbandhi Music. Jugalbandhi Concert career started after several cassettes, Cds came out both in Karnatic and Hindustani Music. By that time he was an approved artist in Hindustani and Karnatic Music Category of Radio and Doordarshan.
